The Event - Patrons of the Future

A BRIGHTER

PATH FORWARD

Thursday
20 03 25

Join us for a magical evening of inspiration, conversation and connection.

Most of all this event is a celebration, but it is so much more.
It is an opportunity to honour the power of human connection and creativity. It will showcase many, many remarkable things already happening across the UK and beyond, highlighting the artists and musicians responding to themes of hopefulness and possibility and lifting up leaders that are showing us another way is possible.

We aim to spark conversations and encourage uncharted community-building, helping every guest feel a connection to the art, music and each other. We believe that by purposefully bringing together diverse voices, across diverse sectors— collaborations will be born, friendships forged, resources released to where they are needed most.

The location

The Art Academy Bankside (behind the Tate Modern) 185 Park Street, London SE1 9BL.

Nearest Tube/ Rail: London Bridge (10 minute walk)

Nearest bus stop: Southwark Bridge/Bankside Pier BC (3 minute walk away)

If cycling, there are bike rails just outside the building for you to leave your bikes.

Information on any access requirements can be found here on Art Academy’s website, but please let us know in advance if you will require any further assistance.

*Please note that our event falls during Ramadan. On March 20th in London, 18:17 is the time for breaking fast and for those who require it, there is a prayer room on site at the Art Academy.

THE EVENING

6:00pm
Arrivals, welcome drinks, and exhibition – by a collective of artists envisioning a future where lives are nourished, communities flourish, and nature thrives.

6:30pm
A shared feast. Savour three courses accompanied by pop-up talks from inspiring individuals showcasing what’s possible and living out the new in tangible ways.

Later on:
Live experimental music performance where hiphop & jazz meet meditation. Presented by Calma x Eerf (from the Silhouettes project).

The event will wind down from 10pm, with time to mingle and view the exhibition again as you depart.

This evening is our gift to you – an opportunity to connect, converse, dream and act together. There’s no cost to attend, just the promise of good company, meaningful conversations, and a celebration of what’s possible.

OUR CALL TO ACTION

Opportunities to build, steward and sustain each other are abound, we just need to keep our eyes, ears and our minds open and we ask that as Patrons of the Future you embody openness and hopefulness.
You may have untapped knowledge, imagination, spaces, resources, kindness – what can you exchange with or nurture in others?
In order to act we must move from away from fear, as this is where action remains in limbo. What are you afraid of?

How will you confront it?

“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way.
On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”

Arundhati Roy.
